CT Scans

About Computerized Tomography (CT)

Computerized Tomography or a “CT” or “CAT” scan is a diagnostic procedure that uses an ultra-thin beam of x-rays to generate detailed cross-sectional images of the body. It is a mainstay of diagnostic imaging and provides invaluable information about the organs of the body. CT Angiography (CTA) gives information about the blood vessels in the body and brain, and can diagnose things such as aneurysms.

  • CT scanning is a painless procedure that can usually be performed in approximately 15 minutes. Some CT scans require the use of an injectable Iodine contrast, which will enhance the images.
  • Personal Health Imaging subscribes to the “Image Wisely” pledge of minimizing your radiation dose while maximizing diagnostic accuracy.
  • In addition, we are proud to have doctors with the expertise to conduct specialty CT scans at all of our locations. More information about a few of them is included in the links below.
